The Review, March 1979, Volume II, Number 1

If problems with Conrail persist this winter, take heart; commuting could be even longer. The following advertisement was taken from The New Vernon Review, a newspaper which was published in 1885:

Regular Stage Line

Running from New Vernon to Madison,

stopping at Green Village; carrying US Mail.

Leaving New Vernon at 6:30 AM,

Arriving at Madison 8:00 AM.

Leaving Madison at 5:00 PM,

Arriving New Vernon at 6:00 PM.

S. Hathaway, Proprietor

No. Main Street

You may have noticed the similarity between the name of the newspaper mentioned above and that of our own newsletter. Yes, we have selected The Review as an adaptation of one of Harding's historical papers.
